My......You sure do look old!

Today was the 100th day of school for Austin today. So, the kids were supposed to dress up like old people, and they had a little party. I just wanted to share a picture I took of Austin before he went to school this morning. He has been doing so well in school. He is catching on so fast and he loves it. Plus, he has a wonderful teacher, Ms. Kim Crist. I still can't believe that my baby is in school! Time just flys by!!!

Welcome to Our Home, Ms. Tooth Fairy

Some of you may think that this is silly that I am even posting anything about this, but Saturday was a big day in Austin's life. He lost his first tooth. When I picked him up from school on Friday he told me that his tooth was loose. I immediately started freaking out (which I can sometimes do very easily) and the first thing I done was pick up the phone to call Andrew. He didn't understand what the big deal was or why I was even a little sad about it. After this conversation with Andrew, I realized that maybe its just a Mom thing, to get sad about losing teeth. Then on Saturday he come up to me and said, "Well, my tooth fell out." It was as easy as that. No pulling, yanking, crying, or anything dramatic. Just, "My tooth fell out." So this was our first experience at the Harris house with losing baby teeth and just thought I would share this with everybody. Oh yeah, and may I just add that the tooth fairy actually slept too hard and forgot to put anything under his pillow. Boy, did I feel bad. I just told Austin that maybe she had a hard time finding it and that we would try again tonight, and with Austin being six, he was okay with that.

Cardboard Testimonies

At church this past Sunday we done cardboard testimonies. It sends such a powerful message. And it would hard for anybody to NOT get touched with some of the testimonies, because everyone has a different story, and you never know how similar someone's situation can be to your own. I was part of it this time around and am so thankful that I belong to a church that will go that extra mile to reach out to those that are lost or are struggling. Thank you God for Chandler Springs Baptist Church!!!!!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow.........

It has been a while since I have posted anything, but January is here and all the doings of December are over. This month so far has been a stay at home, nothing happening, just trying to keep warm, kind of month. On Thursday, we did have a little to get excited about though....SNOW. Although, I was a little disappointed in the amount that got to stick around, I don't think it bothered the kids bc all they knew was that they got to see the snow falling, and I did let them go out and play in it while it was coming down. I am going to post a few pictures, but in the pictures you can't tell, but it was actually snowing big flakes. We didn't actually get a dusting until after dark though. Me and the kids had went and ate supper at Maurine and Donald's house, and on the way home, the van started spinnning and sliding going up the driveway and finally I slid it into a small ditch. We sat in the van and waited to see if Andrew would happen to be coming home and would help us, but finally we just coated up and walked up the driveway in the snow and dark. Kade and Kamden didn't seem to mind this though. They thought it was fun and Kamden didn't even want me to tote him. I am hoping to get some more snow before the end of the winter. Just keep your fingers crossed!!
