Lazy Saturday at the River

Dirty little boys!

Andrew always has this great big smile on his face!

These are the chairs Andrew made us. There are actually five.
This was Austin, Kade, and Kamden's. Aren't they cute?

Me and my babies!

This past Saturday, Andrew and Austin got up early and went down to the river. They went ahead early that morning and went fishing, but me, Kade and Kamden waited unitl it warmed up before we went. Andrew had us a campfire built, and had even made us some little homemade chairs made out of trees that had already been cut down. So we just sat around the campfire and cooked some weinees and fish that they had caught earlier. The fish was actually pretty good. When it started getting dark we even told some ghost stories around the campfire. How cheesey is that! I was so amazed at how quick the boys got soooo dirty! By the time we were loading up to come home, they were covered in dirt and mud and smelled like smoke and fish. The reason they smelled like fish is because all three of them carried around minnows all afternoon that Andrew had been fishing with. But, it ended up being a great Saturday! It had been a while since we have been able to get outdoors and just make an afternoon of it!

WELCOME SUNSHINE!!!!!!

Today the sun is shining and it is a good day! I am so tired of winter, cold, dreary, wet days. And as odd as this sounds coming out of my mouth, I am so tired of the snow. I am ready for warmth, flip flops, painted toenails, blooming flowers and trees, and the smell of fresh cut grass. It was very pretty today, although the wind was still cold. I am getting excited about spring time. I was looking in my yard today, and my hydrangeas and peonies are starting to peak out of the ground. :) Now if the temps will just mellow out. And we have Austin signed up for t-ball this year. He had tryouts the other night, but practice doesn't actually start until next week. This will be a first for us, bc he didn't play last year. I know tball will be fun, but also very time consuming, but in a good way! I just hope Kade and Kamden cooperates with tball season, bc there will be some nights that Andrew will have to work. Well, that is all that has been happening around the Harris household lately. Just glad the sun is starting to shine!

Shana's Wedding

This is me with my cousin Shana, and my cousin Whitney

My two handsome dates!

Don't my baby look all grown up in his tie?

This is Shana dancing with her nephew, Charles Robert.
She had to get down on her knees. How sweet!!!

My cousin, Shana got married this past Saturday, and I was one of the bridesmaids. She had thirteen bridesmaids total so this of course was the biggest wedding I had been in. The wedding turned out beautiful and we had a great time. Congratulations Shana and Jeremy!!!!!

Oh...The weather outside is frightful.....

Yea! We got some more snow after all. The kids had a blast. We played out in it some here. Then we went to Maurine's house and played with Jenny and Maurine for a little while. Our snow disc was over there and it is always fun to use it by Maurine's basement. Bruno (our big dog) even liked the snow. I have to say my favorite part of snow is walking in untouched snow and the sound that it makes on your boots. I know that may sound a little crazy, but I just love it. It just rekindles childhood snow memories. And of course it always makes for some good pictures. I had so many that I just made a slideshow. I am so thankful that there was enough snow this time for the boys to actually get to play in. Oh, and we made a snowman.....I am 30 years old and this is actually the first snowman I have ever helped make.

Mr. Q marries Ms. U

Today in Austin's kindergarten class, Mr. Q married Ms. U. All the little boys dressed up like grooms and the little girls dressed up like brides and they actually had a little ceremony with refreshments afterwards. Very cute! And I can say that Austin was the most handsome six year old little groom I have ever seen. Here are some pictures.

Muddy little boys!

I just looked out the window and this is what I found. Kade's pants and new shoes were soaked in mud. I told the boys they could go play outside as long as I could see them in the backyard. I would normally freak out and go nuts, but for some strange reason I found this to be amusing. I just got my camera and enjoyed every second of him splashing and running through the mud. Aint it nice when you can feel joy and contentment over the little things in life that we sometimes overlook. Seeing my baby making a mess in the mud reminded me that I need to stop and thank God that I have healthy, normal, active little boys. What a blessing in disguise!
